Los Angeles Police Department Rank Insignia

I found this in Images.This represents the L.A.P.D.s Ranks.Police Officer 1.And Police Officer 2 have no insignia.
Police Officer 3 has 2 chevrons.Police Officer 3+ has 2 chevrons as well as a single star underneath.Meaning that the officer has had additional training as A Lead Officer,SWAT Training,And other specialties.And can act as acting supervisor in lieu of a Sergeant.
Police Sergeant 1 is 3 chevrons Police Sergeant 2 is 3 chevrons and a rocker.
Detective 1 is 2 chevrons plus a diamond.
Detective 2 is 3 chevrons plus a diamond.And I think is basically a Sergeant.
Dectective 3 is 3 chevrons plus a diamond and a rocker.
All other rank insignia is self explanatory.
This sytem has been in place since about the 1970s.
The Hashmarks are worn on Long Sleeve Shirts.Each Hashmark denotes 5 years of service.
